Event: Spanish Sign Language Classes in Spoken Spanish
Where: Chicago Police Station, 3420 W. 63rd St, Chicago, IL (in the Police Station Community Room)
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Description: These classes are for Spanish speaking parents of deaf and hard of hearing children who want to learn sign language.

Description: Intermediate Level ASL community class is now being offered. This class will continue to build on the foundation introducted in the Beginner Level American Sign Language class.

Description: NMS (facial expressions and mouth morphemes) taught by Professor Dr. Melinda Gerstein.
Cost: $4.00/week donation

Event: Sign Language Classes - Level I (Beginners), Level II (Intermediate), Level III (Advanced)
Where: Chicago Hearing Society, 1444 W. Willow St, Chicago, IL
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Description
Level I: 6 Week session to learn ASL provided by the premier Chicago agency dedicated to caring for the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard-of-Hearing community. Covers Chapters 1- 12 of  "A Basic Course" by Humphries, Padden and O'Rourke. Students should purchase the text.

Level II: 6 Week session to learn ASL provided by the premier Chicago agency dedicated to caring for the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard-of-Hearing community. Covers chapter 13- 22 of "A Basic Course" by Humphries, Padden and O'Rourke. Students should purchase the text.

Level III: Participants will learn to improve ASL structure, tell a story and talk about life/current events while fine-tuning their receptive and expressive skills. This class will be more of conversational (learning conversation strategies and how to manage a conversation).

Instruction led by Elle Mendiola, Allison Friedman and Cicely Boggan.
Cost: $75.00

Event: Sign Language Classes/Coffee Chat
Where: Barnes & Noble Cafe, 2621 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Description: We are offering FREE sign language classes at the Barnes & Noble in Juliet. We currently meet once a month. Our class is for all ages and we encourage families to bring their little ones too! We offer conversational sign for the adults and fun sign language games or activities for the kids. All dates subject to change and will be confirmed by email through registered attendees.

Description: Do you sign? Come meet & communicate with others! Registration is not required but you may register online at www.cicerolibrary.org. If you are coming from a distance, please call first to confirm that the event has not been cancelled for that date. Also, please note, this is not a sign language class, there is no teacher.
