Dr. Gloria Wongis the manager of the Audiology Clinic at Chicago Hearing Society (CHS). Dr. Wong is passionate about public awareness of hearing loss and opportunities to ameliorate the deleterious affects associated with it. She has served on the Public Relations Committee for the Illinois Speech Language Hearing Association, Hands on Zoo Advisory Committee, and Shedd Aquarium Access Advisory Group. In 2007, Dr. Wong earned her Clinical Doctorate in audiology from Salus University. She obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Audiology from Cleveland State University and was a staff audiologist for an ENT group for several years before moving with her husband to the Chicago area. In 2013, Dr. Wong received the award for Outstanding Audiology Services from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.
Dr. Heather Bentley, Au.D., F-AAA received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Bentley has been practicing audiology since 2005. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the National Hearing Conservation Association. Her experience prior to CHS included hearing aid evaluations, industrial hearing conservation and hearing loss prevention for musicians. She believes listening to each patient’s unique needs and challenges to determine the best solution to help them hear better.
Eileen Davis-Roesler, MA joined the CHS Audiology Clinic in 2008. She has a master's degree in Deafness Rehabilitation and a second Masters degree in Audiology. In addition, she has the unique ability to empathize with most of our patients who have a hearing loss because she has a bilateral congenital profound hearing loss (profound hearing loss since birth). She currently wears one behind-the-ear hearing aid on her right hear and she wears a cochlear implant (implanted in 2003) on her left ear. She is also fluent in American Sign Language. Her professional and personal experience make her a valuable addition to our team.
Dr. Gima Vergara, Au.D. has been practicing audiology since 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology from Illinois State University. She completed her Master of Arts and Doctor of Audiology degrees at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed her fourth year Au.D. externship at Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center in Buffalo, New York where she provided diagnostic and hearing aid services to adult and pediatric populations. Dr. Vergara's current areas of interest are diagnostic audiology and hearing aid fitting. She believes in an open dialogue and mutual decision making with patients as well as using the latest hearing aid technology to meet each patient's needs. Dr. Vergara is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She speaks Spanish fluently.
