The A.R.M.E.D. Program recruits and coordinates professionals who are Deaf or hard of hearing to share their employment and life experiences with elementary, junior high and high school students in Chicago area schools.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  Children are asked this question from the time they are four or five years old.  Everyone needs a dream and every dream deserves a chance.  A great way to start is to find out what other Deaf adults have achieved.  Adult Role Models in Education of the Deaf (A.R.M.E.D.) recruits Deaf and hard of hearing adults to visit classrooms and talk about their jobs with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
